The Premier Arena Soccer League is proud to announce the addition of the Arizona Fire for the 2016-17 Winter season.
Based in the Phoenix suburb of Avondale, the Fire will play their games at American Sports Center.
Co-founded by Team President Alex Esquivias, family and friends, the Fire aim to "expand competitive soccer in Arizona and build a relationship with the community so that both can flourish," said Esquivias.
The Fire already have a website (www.ArizonaFireFC.com), a Facebook page (www.facebook.com/ArizonaFireFC), and a Twitter (@ArizonaFireFC ). Open tryouts are scheduled for September 18.
"We are pleased to build on the PASL's offseason expansion by welcoming the Fire into the league," said PASL Commissioner Kevin Milliken. "The Phoenix area has always been a PASL stronghold and the Fire will be a boon to the entire region."
The Premier Arena Soccer League, heading into its 19th season, is the largest amateur arena soccer league in the United States.
